The Announcement

By popular request, you can now use Markdown in feeds! For most of you, that's probably all you need to know and you are already off decorating your feeds. So long. Enjoy! 👋

An Explanation

Markdown is a lightweight markup language created by John Gruber in 2004. It lets you format plain text using simple, intuitive symbols — which can then be converted into HTML or other formatted output.

Basic Syntax Examples

Why Use Markdown?

  1. Easy to write — no fiddling with formatting menus or buttons
  2. Readable as plain text — even unrendered, it's clear and clean
  3. Portable — it's just text, so it works on any platform or editor

In Short

Markdown lets you focus on writing instead of formatting, while still producing clean, structured documents.
